In addition to the benefits listed below, members enjoy 1 electoral vote for member based electoral decisions. Members will receive at least 30 day notice for elections and general voting.
TEG Member Benefits Schedule
Below find a list of our current membership benefits. Benefits entail legal advocacy and vocational education. As we grow, we will offer additional benefits. We will update members through the membership only portal.
GEN LAW 101
One monthly general legal education group workshop on newsworthy laws and opinions, statutory amendments et cetera.
TENANTS 101
Two monthly general legal education group workshops on tenants' rights, property rights and land ownership.
ESTATE 101
Two monthly general legal education group workshops on estate planning, wills, and trusts.
ATTORNEY REFERRALS
We help our members secure ETHICAL representation and legal services. Two monthly referrals for ETHICAL attorney(s), transcribers, et cetera.
TUTORING
Two monthly tutoring sessions; limit 1 hour for each session. Tutoring must be scheduled at least 1 day in advance, and are subject to TEG lawyer/instructor availability.*
OMBUDSMANSHIP
Two monthly GENERAL consultations; limit 1 hour for each session. General consultations must be scheduled at least 7 days in advance, and are subject to TEG lawyer/instructor availability.*

We also offer services beyond the monthly allotment to our members. Below find a list of those services.
Tutoring Beyond Monthly Allotment
We provide this service at $25/hour. There is no minimum. You pay for our hours projected and will be refunded for any unused time. Hours are billed in 60 minute increments, with a 5 minute grace; the next hour is billable at 6 minutes.
Affidavits and Witness
Testimony
We offer this service at $50/hour. There is no minimum. You pay for our hours projected and will be refunded for any unused time. However, costs for services that are already underway cannot be refunded.
Private Mediation
Want to avoid the courts altogether and resolve a dispute? We offer this service exclusive to our members at $50/hour. There is no minimum.
You pay for our hours projected and will be refunded for any unused time. However, costs for services that are already underway cannot be refunded.
Legal Coaching
Are you preparing for mediation, deposition, witness testimony, or any other court hearing or procedure and wish you had some legal coaching without full legal representation? We offer this service to our members. We provide this service at $50/hour. There is no minimum. Due to the intangible and unrecoverable nature of this service, refunds are not available.
* Consultation is just that, and does not constitute legal advisement nor representation. Our consultation entails determination of which workshops and member benefits and services are best for you. Currently, we do not have a lawyer referral program, and direct you to Legal Aid of NC for identifying ethical attorneys. We can, however, assist you with finding an ethical attorney. Due to corruption and Project 2025 conduct by NC State Bar leadership, we do NOT recommend the NC State Bare for that task. Until Trump and other insurrectionists are removed from office AND the ethical status quo is restored for American jurisprudence, TEG strongly encourages you to verify the legal and ethical rigor of any law firm, government agency, and/or legal fiduciary prior to entrusting it with your legal matters.
